Films in the Neil Hellman Library

The Library has a collection of films in a variety of formats, including VHS tapes, DVDs, and streaming video. With the exception of our streaming video collection, all of our films are listed in the online catalog.  Use the form below to search by keyword.  You can also go directly to the catalog and limit your search to "videos."

Streaming video

We now subscribe to Kanopy, a streaming video collection of classic films, the Criterion Collection, must-watch movies and documentaries, which can be viewed on your personal computer, Saint Rose computers, mobile devices or even an internet TV unit such as Apple TV or Roku.

Where Are the Films?

DVD/Blu-ray: The discs are kept behind the front desk.  To check out a film, grab the case from the shelves in the FoodZone (1st floor) and bring it to the front desk.  You will can check out the film for 3 days with options to renew.

VHS: Tapes are kept in storage.  To access a VHS tape, look up the call number in the online catalog and ask staff at the front desk to retrieve a tape for you.
