FAQ of Related Issues
Where are the DVDs and videocassettes in the library?
Both videocassettes and DVDs are kept behind the front desk. Ask for them
by call number (which is found in the results list of your search). DVD cases
are kept in the media/microforms room, located on the first floor, in the Music
Library (see floor plan for location). Take the empty DVD case to the front desk for checkout.
What are the loan policies for films?
Students may take out one film at a time for a 2-day loan, with one
renewal. (Sorry for such limitations, but this collection is largely a
faculty collection for use in the classroom.) Faculty may borrow films for 2
weeks, with one renewal.
Can I reserve a film for use in my class (faculty only)?
Yes. Call the Circulation Department (454-5180) or stop at the front desk.
How can I request that a film be purchased for the
library collection?
Contact the library director at 454-5182. Recommendation forms are
also available on the library’s web site.
May I request films through interlibrary loan?
Yes. We will try to borrow films from other academic or public libraries
for you.
