Your additional secondary, substantive citations should be built from the citations in one of the three substantive works read as a class.
You are welcome to conduct original research, as well. This will work best for papers that have a local focus or significant media or social media coverage. You may conduct interviews or a media/social media analysis to include as data for your paper.
