The Relationship Between Levels of Neuroticism, Quality of Sleep, and Depressed Mood
The current study examines the relationship between personality and mental health. In particular, levels of neuroticism, quality of sleep, and depressed mood. The study was a correlational design that utilized survey methodology to measure each variable. Hypotheses included a correlation between high levels of neuroticism and poor quality of sleep, and depressed mood and poor quality of sleep. Results indicated a moderate correlation between levels of neuroticism and depression, and a high correlation between quality of sleep and depression. The current research indicates that there is a correlation between levels of neuroticism, quality of sleep, and depressed mood.
