Neil Hellman Library COVID Health and Safety Protocols
Updated 4/26/2022
Physical access to the building is restricted to current students, staff, and faculty with a valid CSR ID card.
A mask covering both mouth and nose is strongly encouraged for all users in the building .
Users may sit in any open seat but furniture may not be moved. Seats are available on a first come, first served basis.
No food allowed but covered drinks are permitted .
Users are encouraged to follow COVID health and safety measures:
Sanitize hands upon entering the building.
Wipe seat/table/computer keyboard/borrowed laptops with a disinfecting wipe before and after use.
Wipes and sanitizer are readily available throughout the library building.
Individual study rooms, limited to one user at a time, are available on a first come, first served basis.
Two group study rooms may be reserved for up to 2 hours. The larger room can hold 25 students, and the smaller room can hold 8 students.
Library materials are not currently being quarantined between uses. The most recent research does not support the need to quarantine library materials.
NOTE: For the safety of our users and staff, the Neil Hellman Library reserves the right to alter services and library access should the COVID-19 situation warrant. Any decision to do so will be based on College policies, CDC recommendations, and guidelines suggested by professional library organizations. Changes will be posted to the library’s website library.strose.edu and in the building, plus shared in the College’s weekly electronic publications: Connect (employees) and In the Know (students).
