In APA documentation style, document your study by citing the author and date of each work you researched. This style of citation briefly identifies the source for readers and enables them to locate the source in the alphabetical reference list at the end of your paper (American Psychological Association [APA], 2010). Include page number(s) when referencing a direct quote or when referring to a specific portion of text (APA, 2010, p. 179). Start the reference list on a new page, center the word References at the top, double-space all reference entries in a hanging indent format (APA, 2010, p.37).
